Packing List for the 2-Week Treasures of Guatemala tour

The climate on this trip is quite moderate: You’ll mainly need clothing for spring and summer-ish weather. It gets quite hot and humid around Livingston, Flores and Semuc Champey, but you should still have some long but light items to protect yourself from bugs. Around Antigua and Lake Atitlán the days are warm, but for the nights you will need a warmer jumper or light jacket and some long layers. The coldest will be the night up on volcano Acatenango, but you will mainly need warm base layers and socks. The rest like jackets, gloves and even hats you will be provided with by the tour company we use for the hike.

We will guide you through the items you need. If you just want to download this list as a PDF, you can do that here:

Clothes

Clothing-wise you will need more like a spring and summer wardrobe, but don’t forget to bring a few warm items for the night up on volcano Acatenango. We would definitely recommend a warm jumper for most nights around Antigua and the lake, but also shorts for warmer days around Livingston and Flores. Also if you have one, bring a rain jacket as the weather especially around the Caribbean and north-eastern side towards Belize can be quite varied. In general, we recommend versatile clothing. A warmer maybe a bit oversized button down, that can be a shirt, but also add some extra coziness with a jumper or hoodie. If you have any questions, just shoot us a message and we are happy to help you. We know it can be hard to make a final decision.
